Necessity is the mother of creation. Being without a camera has forced me to have a look at the photos on my hard disk and see what I can do with them.

I found this image of Parramatta that I took a few months ago and thought that I would give HDR a try.

Any help or suggestions that you may be able to offer would be appreciated.

You need the noise reduction software, cos it seems HDR is notorious for producing a lot of noise.

I'm loving this plug-in for Photoshop. Download the free trial (it's tricky to install, so ask if you need a hand). [link] I got the Noiseware Professional Bundle you see on the right, and if you purchase it, enter the discount coupon code STUCKINCUSTOMS and you will get 10% off.

It's great for anything with noise and far better than PS's noise reduction filter.

I have since acquired Noise Ninja but haven't had a chance to rework this one;-)

I need to learn a lot more about HDR and this was really an experiment when my camera was in being repaired. I used photmatix for this as well:-)
