Beware Falling Limbs by FireflyPhotosAust Beware Falling Limbs by FireflyPhotosAust
We looked but didn't see any body parts falling from the sky.

We came to the conclusion that the magpies must have been dropping arms and legs but luckily there weren't any around when we were there:D

This was taken at Eneabba, Western Australia.

:hmm: Let me get this straight, if you're standing in this field, the magpies will go up, take a chainsaw, lop off a branch, carry it over to where you're reading this sign, and drop it on you...... And what's up with the little "Batman icon" :iconbatmanplz: on the sign there??

I'm not quite sure about the batman icon Bob.

No, the magpies swoop down on the unsuspecting tourists, rip off an arm or a leg with their powerful beaks and then fly away with them. Sometimes they bite off more then they can carry and then they drop them, hence the falling limbs:lmao:

This is a good Halloween pic! I knew magpies were very annoying but as to how scary they were I would have never known. Thanks for the warning ;)

???

Tree limbs or limbs from animal/human type things???

Perhaps it is under a Valkyrie flight path, that would explain the occasional arm or leg.

Unless the local polo club plays the same way as The Geebung Polo Club.

May be one of those locational errors.

Of even greater concern, why am I commenting on a silly sign?

Maybe its a trap, like the bloke who walks down a crowded city street then suddenly stops and looks up.

Maybe the council had this spare warning sign around and just selected somewhere to park it by the throw a dart at a map method.

I think that maybe the tree that it was originally referring to had died and fallen over.

More likely cut down and run through a chipper.
Now if it was in the middle of the Nullaboor it would be truly puzzling.
